Now, this was a request for an 18 year old girl. She is Gothic and obsessed with skulls etc. In an attempt to make it a touch more 'girly', I made a black rose from sugar and scattered sugar roses petals. I would have loved to have dyed the cake inside red, how fab to have cut it open to find a blood red sponge!!!

I love it...well done. If I subtly hint in the right way, I might get one for my 50th. I am an er...'original' goth of the Alice Cooper school, so to speak!! I think your cake rocks - more themes for birthdays are needed and you've got it down to a 't' if I may say. Excellent
